View marketing events on contact records

Marketing events allow you to track your customers' participation in both online and offline events, manage your event assets, and analyze the effectiveness of your event strategy. On the Marketing events card, you can view a contact's marketing event activity directly within their contact record in HubSpot. For example, if a contact registers for a webinar, this event activity will appear on their contact record.
Add the Marketing events card
Permissions required Users must have Customize record page layout or Super Admin permissions to customize a record layout.
- In your HubSpot account, click the settings settings icon in the top navigation bar.
- In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Objects > Contacts.
- To add the Marketing events card on contact records, click the Record Customization tab.
- Click the name of the existing view you want to edit or click Create team view to create a new team view (Professional and Enterprise only).
- Hover over the right column, then click Add card.
- Click the Card library tab.
- Search for the Marketing events card and click add Add card.
- Click the X to close the panel.
- In the top right, click Save to save your progress at any time, or click Save and exit to save your changes and leave the editor.
View Marketing events information on contact records
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Contacts.
- On the record index page, locate the contact you want to work with and click the name of the contact.
- On the right sidebar of the contact record, view the Marketing events card. The card displays the contact's registration and attendance information for both past and upcoming events.

- To expand the card, use the doright riright arrow.
- To collapse the card, click the down down arrow.
- Event name: the name of the event the contact registered for or attended. You can click on the name of the event to view more information on the event.
- Type: the type of event, such as a webinar or seminar.
- Registration status/Participation status: the current status of the contact in the event, such as Registered, Attended, Canceled, No Show.
- Registration date: the date the contact registered for the event.
- Participation date: the date the contact attended the event.
- Cancellation date: the date the contact canceled their attendance to the event.
- Event start date/Event end date: the date of the event.
- No Show Indicator (if applicable): if the contact registered for an event but didn't attend. This is only applicable for events where there's a no show indicator.
If the contact you're viewing has not yet participated in a marketing event, the card will show Contact didn't participate in any marketing event.
